Tell Congress to Protect More Wilderness

Congress: Protect More Wilderness

Take Action

Take action: Urge your members of Congress to support more wilderness protections this year!

Earlier this year, the House joined the Senate and passed legislation to protect the Sleeping Bear Dunes as wilderness in Michigan – a powerful example of bipartisanship. Throughout the year, Congress has the chance to add to this success by safeguarding more of our country’s wild landscapes.

Still pending are over 20 other wilderness bills, many of which enjoy support from Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Areas within the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee, Hermosa Creek in Colorado, and the Alpine Lakes in Washington are just a few of the wild places awaiting the gold standard of protection.

Please ask your members of Congress to help move wilderness legislation forward.

In this year, the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, Congress has a remarkable opportunity to add to our nation’s wilderness legacy. Send your letter today!
